Jagran correspondent, Amroha. Even in winter, the OPD of patients in government hospitals has reduced to half. But most of the patients are coming due to cough and cold. The special thing in this is that due to the carelessness of the patients, cough and cold are gradually turning into pneumonia. 35 to 40 patients are coming to the hospitals every day. In this, the immunity of the patients' body is decreasing. Therefore, the patient should not take cough and cold lightly, but consult a doctor immediately.

In the last two months, OPD of patients in all CHC-PHC including the district hospital had reached around 6500. In which patients suffering from diseases like cough, cold, vomiting, diarrhea, fungal infection, typhoid, viral, diarrhea, TB, dengue etc. were coming. But as the temperature dropped, the cold increased.

Now as the month of December ends, the cold has increased further in the new year with fog. Due to which the OPD of patients in government hospitals has also reduced to half. District Hospital's CMS AK Bhandari said that earlier the OPD of patients in the hospital had crossed 2000 but now it has come down to 900 patients. When the Jagran team visited the ward on Friday, Ramesh Kumar of Mohalla Kishangarh was admitted for many days. He told that he had cough and cold eight days ago but later pneumonia also occurred. I have been admitted to the hospital for three days. The second patient, Suhail Ahmed, resident of Danishmandan, was admitted. He told that he had cough and cold ten days ago. Took medicine also, but did not get relief.

The doctors diagnosed me with pneumonia. Pediatrician Dr. Iqbal Hussain told that every day five to six children are coming to him suffering from pneumonia. Those who had earlier suffered from cough and cold, but due to negligence of their parents, the cold turned into pneumonia.

Meanwhile, city CHC consultant Dr. Mohammad Idrish said that patients of pneumonia along with cough and cold are coming in winter. This includes elders and children. To avoid this, stay away from cold and use warm clothes. At the same time, doctors are estimating 35 to 40 pneumonia patients across the district every day.
