Jagran correspondent, Jhajjar. Olympian Sushil Pehalwan has approached the Punjab and Haryana High Court in connection with the matter of providing foreign weapons to fellow wrestler Vishal, resident of Birohar. The High Court has accepted Sushil's appeal and now the case will be heard on April 28. After this legal step, the hopes of Sushil Pehalwan coming to Jhajjar have reduced.

Actually, the whole matter is related to providing foreign weapons to Vishal Pehalwan. In this connection, on December 16, Jhajjar Police had presented Sushil Kumar in the court of Additional District and Sessions Judge amid tight security. The police had sought 5-day police remand of Sushil citing his non-cooperation in the interrogation, but the court did not approve the remand.

After this, Jhajjar police appealed in the court of District and Sessions Judge, from where Sushil Pehalwan's police remand for three days was approved. Sushil Kumar has reached the High Court against this three-day remand order.

Jhajjar CIA in-charge Karambir Singh said that on December 16, the police had interrogated Sushil Kumar intensively for about two hours. During this period, Sushil did not cooperate at all in the investigation, due to which the police had demanded custody (remand) from the court. Sushil Kumar has appealed in the High Court against the three-day police remand decision given by the District and Sessions Judge. Accepting this appeal, the Honorable High Court has fixed April 28 as the date for hearing. At present the legal process is going on.
