Jagran correspondent, New Delhi. Argentina's star footballer Leon Messi has reached the capital Delhi today i.e. on Monday and there is a crowd of youth to see him. Fans stand in line to meet footballer Leon Messi. There is an almost one kilometer long line outside the Arun Jaitley Stadium.
Messi will participate in the exhibition match to be held at the Arun Jaitley International Stadium. In view of this, Delhi Police has made elaborate security arrangements. In view of the recent chaos during the Lionel Messi event in Kolkata, Delhi Police has made multilayer security arrangements in and around the Arun Jaitley Stadium. Here Argentina's football icons will participate in another event.
According to a senior police officer, elaborate arrangements have been made to run the event smoothly. Crowd management, access control and traffic regulation have been given special attention. Several security circles have been formed around the Arun Jaitley Stadium and additional police personnel along with paramilitary forces have also been deployed there. Entry into the stadium will not be allowed without valid mask. The entire area will be monitored through CCTV cameras and other technical means. There will be Quick Reaction Teams (QRTs), senior security officers and emergency response units on standby throughout the event.
Vehicles will be parked at three places
Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic) Nishant Gupta said that the traffic police has identified three main parking areas for labeled vehicles. This also includes P-1 near Vikram Nagar. Unlabeled vehicles will have to be parked in the Rajghat Powerhouse parking lot and Mata Sundari Lane. From here people can walk to the stadium.
Parking near the stadium is prohibited, go on foot from Rajghat.
Those using app-based taxis have been advised to get down at Rajghat Chowk and walk the rest of the way. Senior traffic officer said that parking of vehicles around Arun Jaitley Stadium is strictly prohibited. If anyone drives there, he will be towed and fined. It has been advised to use metro or buses as much as possible.
150 policemen deployed for smooth traffic
According to the Deputy Commissioner of Traffic Police, about 150 policemen have been deployed as part of traffic and security arrangements. If needed, traffic diversion can be implemented from Delhi Gate Chowk and ITO. He said that during VIP movement, traffic may slow down for some time to allow players' buses to easily reach and enter the stadium. Public movement is expected to start around 11 am.

Commuters have been advised to avoid Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg, ITO, Delhi Gate, Netaji Subhash Marg and Brijmohan Chowk from 10 am till the end of the event.
