Jagran correspondent, Samastipur. Railway Suicide Case: On Friday, a youth committed suicide by jumping in front of a moving train at the local Samastipur Junction. The incident took place on platform number one, where as soon as train number 14649 Saryu-Yamuna Express reached, the youth suddenly jumped in front of it. He died on the spot.
According to eyewitnesses, the incident happened so suddenly that even before the passengers present on the platform could understand anything, the young man was hit by the train. After the accident, there was an atmosphere of chaos in the station premises.
As soon as the information was received, the Railway Police reached the spot and took the body into their custody and started further action. Railway station head Birbal Kumar said that the deceased has not been identified yet. Efforts are being made to identify him.
Police have sent the body for post-mortem and investigation into the case is ongoing. Railway Police is investigating various aspects to find out the cause of the incident.
