The young man was murdered by hitting him on the head with a stick.
Jagran correspondent, East Delhi. In a sudden dispute in Geeta Colony police station area, a young man was killed by hitting him on the head with a stick. After the incident, the police took immediate action and arrested the accused and also recovered the stick used in the crime. Police have registered a case of murder and started investigation. DCP Shahdara Prashant Gautam said that the call was received at Geeta Colony police station at around 9:49 pm on Friday night. The caller informed that a man was lying in a pool of blood on the roadside near the boundary wall of Sarvodaya School, Gandhi Nagar, the woman's home. The investigation was handed over to ASI Ranjit Singh.
On reaching the spot, a person was found dead, with serious head injury and blood spread around. The deceased was identified as Danua alias Lalbatti, 36 years old, resident of district Hathras, Uttar Pradesh. It was told that the deceased used to make matka and also used to drive a rickshaw. Crime team was called to the spot. After this the body was sent to GTB Hospital.
Controversy broke out while drinking alcohol at a dhaba
After the incident, 62-year-old complainant Khushi Ram, resident of Geeta Colony came forward to the police. He told that he runs a dhaba on the footpath near the boundary wall of SKV School in Gandhi Nagar. Rickshaw pullers Danua and Bunty came there and while drinking alcohol, an argument and abuse started taking place between them.
Then Bunty picked up the stick lying nearby and hit Danua on the head with full force. Danua died on the spot. The police registered a case of murder and arrested the accused Bunty. The accused Bunty is a resident of village Atrauli, district Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh.
