2026 KTM 390 Duke introduced with new braking system and attractive matte blue color.
Auto Desk, New Delhi. KTM has introduced the 2026 390 Duke in the global markets. In the new model, the company has improved the braking performance and along with it a new color option has also been added. The starting price of 2026 KTM 390 Duke in the UK has been kept at 5,699 GBP, which is equivalent to approximately Rs 6.90 lakh in Indian currency. KTM 390 Duke is already a very popular bike in India and has been consistently making it to the top-10 bestselling bikes in the 350-450cc segment. In such a situation, these updates made in the 2026 model are also considered important for the Indian market.
What's new in the 2026 KTM 390 Duke?
The 2026 KTM 390 Duke in international markets has been updated with new WP FCR4 front brake callipers. This new setup has been designed to give more confidence to the rider, so that the full performance of the bike can be better explored.
This caliper is made of lightweight yet strong material. It weighs around 740 grams without brake pads, making it one of the lightest calipers in its segment. It has been prepared through high-strength alloy and special process, which provides better stiffness.
The 4-piston configuration results in better modulation and big-bike-like feedback. The advanced airflow passages provided in it quickly expel the heat generated during braking, thereby reducing the problem of brake fade.
Additionally, internal seals reduce brake drag, which increases brake pad life and also has a positive impact on fuel efficiency.
The rest of the mechanical hardware in the 2026 KTM 390 Duke has remained the same. The bike has 320 mm disc brakes at the front and 240 mm disc brakes at the rear. It has WP APEX 43 mm USD forks (150 mm travel) at the front and WP APEX monoshock (150 mm travel) at the rear. The front suspension has the option of compression and rebound adjustment, while the rear has the option of rebound adjustment and preload adjuster. The bike has a split-trellis frame and aluminum casted rear sub-frame.
A new matte blue color has been added to the 2026 KTM 390 Duke for international markets. This will be available in addition to the already existing gun metal gray color. In India, the KTM 390 Duke is currently available in Gun Metal Grey, Electronic Orange and Atlantic Blue color options. The fuel tank and tank extensions have been repainted in a new matte blue shade. The special thing is that there is no Duke branding in this color scheme, rather 390 has been highlighted in a big font.
Powerful engine as before
The engine has been kept the same in the 2026 model. It has a 398.7 cc, single cylinder, liquid-cooled engine. This engine generates power of 46 PS and torque of 39 Nm. It has a 6-speed gearbox.
