Jagran correspondent, Jhansi. An ambulance caught fire during illegal refilling of domestic gas cylinder in Gumanawara near the Medical College on Friday. A car parked nearby also got caught in the fire. The ambulance of Paan Singh Sengar, who lived near a marriage house in Gumnawara of Nawabad police station area, was returning after dropping the patient to Lalitpur.
After returning, the driver washed the vehicle and started refilling the CNG cylinder in the ambulance from the domestic gas cylinder. During this time a fire broke out.

The driver tried to extinguish the fire, but the fire spread rapidly and engulfed the entire vehicle. The flames rose so high that Pradeep Patel's car parked nearby also got burnt and damaged. As soon as information about the incident was received, the fire brigade reached the spot and brought the fire under control.
Chief Fire Officer Rajkishore Rai said that prima facie the fire was caused by illegal refilling of domestic gas cylinders. A report of the case is being prepared and sent to the government.
