Jagran correspondent, Ghaziabad. Special monitoring should be done to prevent illegal encroachment on government lands. Strict action should be taken against illegal encroachers. These instructions were given in the review meeting of Ghaziabad, Gautam Buddha Nagar and Bulandshahr districts by the committee formed by the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Council in the meeting held at Vikas Bhawan on Monday to curb the irregularities prevalent in the development authorities, housing development council, district panchayats and municipal bodies.

The committee expressed displeasure over the non-presence of the nominated officers during the review meeting of Gautam Buddha Nagar. If no satisfactory response was not received, Noida and Greater Noida Authority officials were instructed to reach Lucknow and present their case.

The work of the District Panchayat Department of Gautam Buddha Nagar was appreciated. During the review meeting of Bulandshahr district, the meeting was adjourned due to non-appearance of the nominated officers. During the review of Ghaziabad, the committee directed that if any complainant comes with a complaint, then his complaint should be heard carefully and resolved by the officials.

Blankets should be distributed to poor, helpless and rare class people to protect them from cold. The meeting was held under the chairmanship of Committee Chairman Kunwar Maharaj Singh in the presence of members Dr. Jaipal Singh, Vijay Bahadur Pathak, Ashok Kataria, Dharmendra Bhardwaj, Pawan Singh and other members.
