BKU Tikait workers protesting against the closure of bridge number four of Prayagraj Magh Mela. Awakening
Jagran correspondent, Prayagraj. Pipa bridge number four was closed in the morning during Magh Mela on Mauni Amavasya. At the same time, the pontoon bridge going from Daraganj to the fair area also kept being closed from time to time. Due to this the crowd increased towards Jhunsi. In view of the problems being faced by the devotees, workers of Bharatiya Kisan Union (BKU) Tikait faction sat on strike. On the other hand, the road leading to Veni Madhav temple in Daraganj was completely blocked.
Said- Administration should take care of the facilities of the devotees
The pressure of the crowd was increasing, due to which Pipa bridge number four was closed by the Magh Mela administration. BKU workers said that the administration should take care of the facilities of the devotees who come from far and wide to take Sangam bath.
Crowd gathered at Someshwar and Phaphamau ghat of Naini
On the other hand, amazing enthusiasm was seen among the devotees regarding the Mauni Amavasya bath at the Ganga ghats of Naini and Phaphamau. People took a dip of faith in Ganga while chanting Har Har Gange, Mother Ganga. More crowd was seen towards Someshwar Ghat of Naini. On the other hand, a large crowd of devotees also took bath and worship at Phaphamau Ganga Ghat.
More than three crore people took a dip till 12 noon
By 8 am on the bathing festival of Mauni Amavasya, 1.3 crore people had taken a dip of faith. Till 12 noon, 3.15 crore devotees took a holy dip. During this period, there was a surge of faith at various bathing ghats of Ganga including Sangam.
Baby girl born in fair hospital
On Sunday, the day of Mauni Amavasya, a woman gave birth to a baby girl in Triveni Hospital of Magh Mela. There was happiness in the hospital administration. It is noteworthy that during Magh Mela, a hospital has been operated on Triveni Marg. A girl child has been born here for the second consecutive day.
