Jagran correspondent, Agra. Rs 78.75 lakh and 200 grams of gold were defrauded from the doctor's family on the pretext of appearing for NEET examination and then getting admission in PG.
One of the accused even showed his identity card to gain confidence by claiming to be an officer of the Ministry of Defence. Fake counseling letter also issued. A case has been registered in Sadar police station on the orders of DCP City. The investigation of the case has been handed over to ACP Sadar.
Khalid Aji Khan, resident of Indrapuram Colony, Shamshabad Road, is a doctor by profession. He runs the clinic with his MBBS son Nabeel Ali Khan.
On behalf of Dr. Khalid Ali, a case of fraud has been registered in Sadar police station on Wednesday against Anuj Malik, resident of Siddharth Apartment, Khandari and Sanchit, resident of Shamshabad Road, Indrapuram Colony.

It is alleged that in October 2024, he took the victim into confidence by giving him fake counseling letter, mark sheet and admit card.
After this, he took Rs 50 lakh in cash from the victim in the name of donation at Crowne Plaza Hotel Greater Noida and kept all the original educational certificates with himself. The victim says that the accused continuously sent admission related mails on Nabeel's email.
Many mails came till June 2025, but no mail related to admission came. When the family contacted Bahuguna University and Himalayan University, it was found that no mail had been issued by the university.
After this he realized that he had been cheated. Inspector Sadar Vijay Vikram Singh said that a case has been registered. Investigation is being done.
Demanded more money in the name of increasing donations
The victim says that Anuj Mali asked for more money, saying that the donation for the branch in which his son wanted to take admission had increased to Rs 95 lakh. He could raise only Rs 25 lakh. The accused came home and took two hundred grams of gold biscuits in exchange for the remaining amount.
The accused took away Rs 78.75 lakh and 200 grams of gold. Anuj Malik wrote in a diary that he had taken Rs 78.75 lakh and 200 grams of gold and signed it. He also gave a photocopy of his defense ID card, which was found to be fake during investigation.
