Samvad Sutra, Jagannathpur (West Singhbhum). A young man was stabbed to death late Thursday evening in Ulihatu Tola of Badamahuldiha village under Maluka Panchayat of Jagannathpur police station area of ​​West Singhbhum district.

The deceased has been identified as Jogana Hembram, resident of Diurisai Tola of Sanmriglendi village of Tonto police station area. Information about the incident came to the public on Friday, although the villagers had informed the police on Thursday night itself.

As soon as the information was received, the police of Jagannathpur police station reached the spot along with Munda of the village and took possession of the body and brought it to the police station early Friday morning. Later the body was handed over to the relatives after post-mortem. The family members performed the last rites late in the evening.

According to village sources, the deceased Jogana Hembram had gone to Ulihatu Tola along with his brother Chhota Hembram and cousin Bagun Hembram. Chhota Hembram's wife was living in her maternal home in Ulihatu due to some family dispute. Chhota was negotiating with his in-laws to bring back his wife.

It is said that during this time there was an argument between the two parties regarding some issue and the dispute escalated. Meanwhile, some unknown person attacked Jogna Hembram with a knife in the stomach. He died on the spot due to serious injuries. Bagun Hembram also got injured near his mouth in this incident.

However, it is not yet clear whether the attacker was a local villager or an outsider. Jagannathpur police has registered a case of murder and is busy investigating the case.

According to the police, one accused has been identified and raids are being conducted to arrest him. Besides, the reasons behind the murder are also being thoroughly investigated.
