Human Trafficking Busted In Dhanbad: Smuggler Taking Minors To Tamil Nadu By Tampering With Aadhaar Card Arrested

Jagran correspondent, Dhanbad. RPF and CIB caught a smuggler who was taking 11 minors living in Madhepura, Bihar to Tamil Nadu as laborers at Dhanbad station.

Both the rescued minor and the smuggler are from Madhepura. The name of the arrested smuggler is Khagesh Kumar, who is a resident of Gamhariya in Madhepura. The investigation has also revealed tampering with the Aadhaar cards of minors.

RPF officials said that investigation was started on information about minors being taken for child labor in Alleppey Express. During this time, 11 minors were rescued by catching the smuggler at the main gate of the station.

During interrogation, he told that his uncle Manav Kumar works in a bottle manufacturing company based in Madurai, Tamil Nadu. A demand was made for laborers to work in the same company. He was also greedy for money.

He convinced the village children from Madhepura to accompany him by giving them Rs 1,000 each. The FIR in the matter has been registered in the railway station.

RPF Inspector Ajay Prakash, CIB Inspector Arvind Kumar Ram, Manisha Kumari, Shashikant Tiwari, Sushil Kumar, Mukesh Kumar Yadav, Sanjeev Kumar Singh, Ram Prasad, Anil Kumar, Pravind Kumar, Tanveer Khan and Aditya Narayan Rai were involved in the campaign.

Investigation in Aadhaar Seva Kendra, minors made adults

RPF got the Aadhar cards of the rescued minors checked at the Aadhar Seva Center in Dhanbad. Investigation found that minors were converted into adults by tampering with Aadhaar so that they could be forced to do risky labor work. Cases of tampering with Aadhaar have already come up.
