Jagran correspondent, Gorakhpur. Strict security arrangements have been made at temples on Mahashivratri. The police-administration is in alert mode regarding the Shivratri fair to be held at 122 places. Additional forces have been deployed in major temples and arrangements have been made for surveillance through drones and CC cameras. To make security arrangements effective, the city has been divided into three zones and 11 sectors.

Special monitoring is being done on the security of Gorakhnath Temple, Mahadev Jharkhandi Temple and Mukteshwarnath Temple. Door Frame Metal Detector (DFMD) and dog squad have been deployed in Mahadev Jharkhandi. For the security of the devotees, two company PAC, 150 sub-inspectors, 10 women sub-inspectors, 450 constables and 500 home guards have been deployed.

The concerned police station in-charge, outpost in-charge and beat constable will be alert around the temple premises since morning. Apart from this, Crime Branch and LIU teams will also be on tour.

There will be more crowd of devotees at these temples

There will be security at Mukteshwarnath Mahadev Temple in Rajghat, Adhiyaribagh Mansarov Shiv Temple in Tiwaripur, Akolhiya Shiv Temple in Khorabar, Mahadev Jharkhandi in AIIMS, Gorakhnath Temple in Gorakhnath, Bargdahi Shiv Temple in Gulriha, Gaurishankar Temple in Campierganj, Bharohiya Shiv Temple in PPganj.

Along with this, in view of the large crowd of devotees, there will be additional security at Moteshwarnath and Maheshwarnath Shiv Temple in Pipraich, Baba Munjeshwarnath in Belipar, Jaleshwarnath in Badhalganj, Baranagar Shiv Temple in Gola. For security reasons, three Superintendents of Police, nine COs, 45 Inspectors, 150 Sub Inspectors and 450 constables have been put on duty in the entire district.
