Jagran correspondent, Agra. Licensees are taking advantage of the poor working style of the inspectors of the Excise Department. Adulterated English liquor was being sold from the composite shop Digneer Shamsabad for several months. The Excise Department team raided the shop on Thursday night. 33 pounds of adulterated liquor and 13 lids were recovered.

Salesman Shivram was arrested and jailed. A case has been registered against licensee Radheshyam. The license of the composite shop has been canceled on the orders of the DM.

Composite shop was opened for the first time

For the first time in this financial year, 243 composite shops have opened. This also includes the Digner curse. Its licensee is Radheshyam and salesman Shivram. Adulterated liquor was being sold from the shop for many months. Complaint about this was made to higher authorities. People alleged that the liquor contains high amount of water. The Excise Department team raided on Thursday night. 33 pauvas of adulterated liquor of Iconic brand and 13 fake caps of Old Monk Rum were recovered from the shop.

District Excise Officer KP Yadav said that the salesman has been sent to jail. A case has been registered against the licensee, canceling the license of the shop. The licensee will be blacklisted. Amit Srivastava, Brijendra Patel were included in the team.
