On August 26, 2025, the police arrested advocate Aridman Singh, accused in the case. The court had sent him to jail. Chargesheet has been filed in the case against advocate Dheeraj Upadhyay alias Dinu and Aridaman Singh.
Senior advocate Rajeev Yadav said that in the bail application filed in the High Court on behalf of Aridaman, it was argued that Dheeraj alias Dinu, co-accused in the case, had recently got bail from the High Court. The police have shown the same role of both of them in the incident.
Therefore he is also entitled to get bail. The criminal history of Aridaman was presented by the prosecution but the court accepted that bail cannot be refused in any case on the basis of criminal history. The High Court accepted the bail application of Aridaman.
