State Bureau, Dehradun. The agreements signed in the Global Investors Conference held in the state are rapidly coming to fruition. This can be estimated from the fact that till now contracts worth Rs 1.06 lakh crore have been implemented in the state.
While reviewing these, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has given instructions to immediately resolve the obstacles coming at any level in the implementation of agreements and MOUs and projects. Besides, instructions have been given to nominate one nodal officer in all the departments to monitor the implementation of the agreements.
Chief Minister Dhami held a high-level review meeting at the Secretariat on Tuesday regarding the agreements reached at the Global Investors Conference and the ongoing work to implement them.
Describing the investment agreement as extremely important for the industrial and economic future of Uttarakhand, he said that it is a direct proof of investor confidence, better law and order, good governance and industry-friendly environment in the state.
He directed that if there is a need for amendment, simplification or relaxation in any policy to implement the agreement, then its proposal should be prepared and presented to the government.
He also directed to increase regular communication and contact with industrialists. He said that there should be no unnecessary delay in the implementation of projects, decisions on works should be taken quickly and works should be completed as per the timeline.
Departmental officers including Secretary Sachin Kurve, Vinay Shankar Pandey, Ranjit Sinha, S Addanki, C Ravi Shankar, Dhiraj Garbyal and Additional Secretary Banshidhar Tiwari were present in the meeting.
Instructions to keep special focus on tourism industry and investment
The Chief Minister directed that an investment-based environment should be created in the service sector areas where there is vast potential for hotel construction. He gave instructions to resolve the issues related to industries by holding Udyog Mitra Committee meetings in all the districts of the state.
Construction of temple in Spiritual Zone, Ayurveda AIIMS and Bharadisain
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that Uttarakhand is the center point of Indian culture, spirituality and ancient glorious heritage. Keeping this in mind, necessary homework should be done for establishing a university based on the balance of ecology and economy.
He gave instructions to take action on issues related to Hindu Studies Center and Oriental Research Centre, Spiritual Zone Development, temple and other creative construction work in Bharadisain and work related to establishment of Ayurveda AIIMS on priority basis.
