According to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), the AQI of the district was recorded at 384. At the same time, the air quality of Loni remained serious, whose AQI was 412.
After a brief respite of five days, the air quality of the district reached very poor category on Tuesday, whose AQI was 325. There was an increase of 59 points in AQI on Wednesday. There is no hope of relief now. Due to poisonous air, people are suffering from sore throat and burning sensation in the eyes.
Respiratory and asthma patients are facing the most problems. Meanwhile, the pollution meter in Sanjay Nagar remained faulty, due to which people could not get AQI information. Ankit Singh, Regional Officer, Uttar Pradesh Pollution Control Board, said that action is going on to control pollution and those causing pollution are being monitored.
