Jagran Correspondent, Rishikesh: A thirty seater sleeper bus carrying a group of students and teachers who had come to visit from Rajasthan reached Tapovan road. Instead of 30, 120 students and teachers were sitting in the bus. The transport department team caught the bus during checking. Children and teachers were sent to Haridwar by roadways bus.
These days, the Transport Department is running a checking campaign in connection with the National Road Safety Month. A team under the leadership of ARTO Parvatan Rashmi Pant was checking on Tapovan route on Monday evening.
This area leads from Indramani Baroni Chowk in Rishikesh. The team stopped a bus for checking. Upon investigation, the team found that around 120 students and teachers were sitting in the thirty seater sleeper bus. Who had come to visit Rishikesh from Dholpur Rajasthan.
In view of the overloading of such a large number of vehicles, the bus was parked at the ARTO office, Rishikesh.
ARTO Parvatan said that after contacting the ARM of Rishikesh Roadways Bus Depot, they were provided a roadways bus to reach Haridwar Railway Station.
