Communication Assistant, Kotdwar. Satpuli resident software engineer Sandeep Rautela's heart ached when he saw his father searching for blood to save the life of his ailing son in a hospital in Dehradun. He decided that now he would do something so that every needy person can get blood on time. On the basis of his ability, Sandeep created an app called Raktavahini. Through this app a person can contact blood donors around him. Blood donors of every blood group will be easily available on the app.
A few years ago, Sandeep had reached a hospital in Dehradun for the treatment of one of his relatives. While there, he found a man who was searching for blood to save his son's life. The person also contacted many of his acquaintances on phone. But, the arrangements did not work out favourably. After this, Sandeep called a friend who was studying with him and arranged for blood. This entire incident shook Sandeep to the core. He decided to create an app to provide timely blood to every patient.
After several months of hard work, Sandeep along with his friend Udit Rawat prepared an app called Raktavahini. Sandeep told that blood donors can enter their mobile number along with their blood group on the app. After this the needy person can contact them through the app. The app will provide such a facility that the needy will not have to call or wander here and there for blood. Blood will be easily available in the hospital itself.
This is how the app works
Raktavahini App provides a modern digital platform for common citizens and hospitals. Registration facility has been provided in this system. Through which any person can enter his blood group and other information in the app.
After registration a verification link will be sent to the user's e-mail ID. Once verified the user can login to the system. The needy person has to search the location around his hospital and the details of nearby blood donors will appear before him, through which he can contact them.
