Son sacrificed to mother's superstition. photo awakening
Umesh Bhargava, Ambala city. Humanity is crying in Ward No. 10, Nadi Mohalla. Here, 22 year old Prince Prince has been lying in a room for the last four years in such a condition that each and every bone of his can be counted. Not even a drop of blood was left in the body.
Due to malnutrition, there is no flesh left on the body, only bone structure and moving breaths. He is alive, but life is far away from him and death is very close. There are no new wounds on the Prince's body, rather the wounds have engulfed his entire body.
Insects have been roaming in his body since he was lying there for years. Insects crawl on the bed, white lice are stuck in the hair. He is lying naked, with only a dirty quilt on his body, which probably has not been washed for years.
The neck hangs below the bed. The onlooker thinks he is dead for a moment, but when he gets closer, he realizes that he is still breathing. A small bottle of water is kept near him to give sip-by-sip water to children up to two years of age. The Prince picks him up while he is lying down and drinks water.
Superstition took up residence in the house
It is said that the Prince fell ill four years ago. Treatment was needed, but instead of taking him to the doctor, superstition took up residence in the house. Mother Shobha chose exorcism instead of medicines. By putting the son in a room, his world was destroyed right there.
The father works in the textile market and the mother earns her living by working in people's homes, but now perhaps no one has the courage to see the condition of her son. Relatives put black oil on the wounds instead of medicine.
I feel suffocated as soon as I step into the room
The condition of the room is such that one feels suffocated the moment one steps inside. The foul smell is so strong that it becomes difficult to stand even for a few minutes. The Prince hears the voice, but is uncomfortable responding. The body has become stiff, the flesh of the stomach has stuck to the back. Malnutrition has made him completely helpless to walk.
Mother does not want her son to be treated
This inhuman truth came to light when the Vande Mataram team received the information. When the team reached her house on December 23, the mother refused to go inside. After much persuasion, the mobile was kept outside and the person was allowed to go inside. The scene that unfolded shook everyone.
The team tried to get her admitted to Manukhta's Seva Sabato Badi Society Hospital, Ludhiana, but the mother refused treatment. Later he agreed and asked to come on 24th December at 2 pm. When the team arrived with the ambulance, the relatives locked the house and left.
When contacted, Shobha said that she does not feel like sending Prince away from her. Neighbors say that a young man has been thrown alive into hell in front of them. Later, the team of Vande Mataram team entered the house from the neighbors' terrace and made a video of Prince and sent it to the police and administration.
Now the team has decided that the Prince will be rescued by arriving with the police on Friday. On December 25, with the help of neighbours, the team of Vande Mataram team along with a private nurse tried to collect the Prince's blood sample, but despite many efforts, the blood for the sample did not come out in the syringe.
picture of illiteracy and superstition
This story is not just the suffering of a young man. This is a picture of superstition, illiteracy and social indifference, in which a mother left a piece of her own liver to die.
The question is why no one tried to save the Prince in time? Why did no one inform Vande Mataram Dal or anyone else first? Why was the Prince left to die after suffering for four years?
