Due to low visibility in the fog, the speed of vehicles remained slow and even in the morning, vehicles kept passing through the highway with lights on.
Actually, the district has been experiencing severe cold since last one week. But the sun has not risen for three days. There is fog and clouds in the sky. It also drizzled on Friday. Due to which the cold has also increased. The situation remained the same on Saturday also. Cold boon for wheat, mustard crops
The sun's rays were absent on Saturday, but this cold is proving beneficial for the farmers. Crops like wheat, mustard and potato give better production in this season. Experts say that cold strengthens the crops and the yield is likely to increase.

10 bed night shelter based on one heater
Due to the harsh winter, the arrangements for night shelters in the city have also shrunk. In the 10-bed night shelter, only one heater is working for warmth, while the other one is out of order. At the same time, food arrangements for the destitute people are also not being made at night. The municipal administration has also become careless in repairing the broken systems. With the beginning of January, it is extremely cold at the moment.
Due to cold wave and frost falling at night, the temperature is falling daily. Meanwhile, the system of night shelter is also proving to be ineffective. Only one heater is working in the 10-bed night shelter. In this regard, Municipality's EO Lalit Kumar Arya claimed that there are adequate arrangements in the night shelter. If there is any deficiency, it will be rectified.
