Jagran correspondent, Gorakhpur. The problem of jam at Nakaha Jungle Railway Crossing (level crossing gate) will soon be relieved. Not only will transportation of lakhs of people become easier, accidents will also be curbed. Railway administration has expedited the construction work of two lanes at level crossing number 5A.
Two lane work has already been completed. The special thing is that this overbridge on Chor Lane will be arched like Maniram crossing number seven. From now on the shape of the bow will be visible.
Actually, the railway crossing located at Nakaha Jungle Yard is very important. There is movement of lakhs of people every day. In which not only the general public but also students, businessmen, employees and travelers are included. Due to continuous movement of trains through the crossing, the problem of traffic jam persists every moment.
Due to this, railway passengers, students and patients have to suffer the most. With the construction of the overbridge, the traffic of people at the crossing will end. Operation of trains will also be uninterrupted.
On the initiative of North Eastern Railway, the Board has approved the construction of Road Overbridges and Road Underbridges (ROB and RUB) at level crossing gates. In which Nakaha forest is also included at 5A and 6A railway crossing. The construction work at crossing number 7A located at Maniram has been completed.

In North Eastern Railway, the process of constructing bridges by closing level crossing gates is going on war footing. About 430 level crossing gates have been closed in the last five years. In the coming days, there is a plan to completely stop all the level crossing gates and curb accidents and provide convenience to the general public.
North Eastern Railway has about 1335 manned level crossings including 382 in Lucknow division, 563 in Varanasi division and 390 in Izzatnagar division.
The work of construction of 4 lane road over bridge at level crossing number 5 special is in progress. The work of the first 2 lanes has been completed and will be opened for traffic from August 2025. The work of second 2 lane is being done rapidly. Erection and fabrication work of bow shaped girder is being done in the railway area. With the completion of this work, movement of road vehicles will be easy and convenient.
