Auto Fare Increased In Patna, Now The Fare Will Be This Much From Junction To Gandhi Maidan

Jagran correspondent, Patna. Now the auto fare to go from Gandhi Maidan to Patna Junction Multilevel Parking will be Rs 20. This decision was taken in a meeting organized by Auto Men's Union Bihar at Gandhi Maidan Auto Stand on Tuesday.

The meeting was presided over by union vice president Vijay Kumar. In this, it was decided to increase the auto fare from Gandhi Maidan to Patna Junction to Rs 20 from January 1, 2026. Till now Rs 15 is being charged.

According to the new fare decided by the union, the fare will be Rs 15 from Gandhi Maidan to Dakbungla intersection, Rs 10 from Gandhi Maidan to Biscomaan or JP Golambar and Rs 20 from Patna Junction Multilevel Parking to Gandhi Maidan. The fare has been fixed at Rs 15 from Patna Junction multilevel parking till Dakbungla intersection and radio station and Rs 20 after alighting at any place.

Permission has not been received from the administration

Union General Secretary Ajay Kumar Patel said that despite repeated demands from the Transport Department to increase the fare, no initiative was taken. Under compulsion, the auto drivers themselves had to decide to increase the fare.

He said that due to the implementation of the new traffic system, auto drivers of Gandhi Maidan have to cover an additional distance of one to one and a half kilometers to reach the multilevel parking via Dakbungalow intersection, due to which the cost of fuel has increased. In the meeting Mohd. Badruddin, Manoj Kumar, Mohd. Irfan, Mohd. Raju, Raju Prasad, Mohd. A large number of auto drivers including Siraj were present.
