Drugs originating from these countries are transported in large quantities to the markets of America and Europe. This is the reason why the entire region has emerged as the most important center of drug trade.

The fertile soil and favorable climate of South America is perfect for the cultivation of the coca plant. Farmers earn huge income from coca crop in a very short time.
