All restrictions in the third phase of the Graded Response Action Plan (GREP) have been lifted with immediate effect.

State Bureau, New Delhi. After improvement in the air quality of NCR including Delhi, all the restrictions of the third phase of Graded Response Action Plan (GREP) have been lifted with immediate effect. This decision has been taken by the Commission for Air Quality Management (CAQM) on the basis of decline in pollution levels and improvement in weather.

Under this, the ban on BS-3 petrol and BS-4 diesel vehicles has also been removed, which has increased the convenience of commuting in the city despite environmental improvements. It is known that the Group 3 restrictions were imposed on December 13. A CAQM official said, "Delhi's AQI, which was recorded at 380 i.e. 'very poor' category on Thursday, has improved significantly. At 4 pm on Friday, it was recorded at 236 i.e. 'poor' category, which shows a positive trend. Keeping in view the current trend of air quality, the Group Sub-Committee has imposed all Group 3 restrictions in the entire NCR." It has been decided to remove him with immediate effect.”

The official further said, “However, all restrictions of Group 1 and 2 in NCR will remain in force.” According to the forecast of the Meteorological Department and IITM Pune, the weather in NCR including Delhi will remain favorable in the coming days and the air quality is expected to remain in the lower 'poor' to 'very poor' category. Under the third phase of GREP, closed private construction works, non-essential diesel trucks, brick kilns and hot mix plants have been allowed to function again. Inter-state diesel buses that do not meet CNG, electric or BS VI standards will also no longer be stopped from entering Delhi. However, the Commission clarified that construction and demolition project sites, which were specifically issued closure orders due to violation or non-compliance of statutory instructions, rules or guidelines, will not be allowed to resume operations under any circumstances without a clear order of the Commission. According to the government order, there will also be a change in the education system implemented earlier, where online education was kept as an option for students up to class five. Delhi's Environment Minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa has also shared information about the decision to remove restrictions on the third phase of Grapes. He wrote on Twitter - I want to inform all the people of Delhi that as per the order of CAQM, Group 3 restrictions have now been removed in Delhi and Group 1 and 2 are applicable in the capital.
