Samvad Sutra, Ajgaivinath Dham (Bhagalpur). Municipal Council Chief Councilor Rajkumar Guddu met State BJP President Sanjay Saraogi who was on Bhagalpur tour on Monday and handed over a memorandum. In this, there was a demand to name the historical and religious very ancient pilgrimage town of Baba Ajgavinath situated on the banks of the holy North Vahini Ganga as Ajgavinath Dham. It has been told that the Municipal Council Sultanganj, in the general committee meeting on June 19, 2024, has passed with majority the proposal to rename the city as Ajgavinath Dham and sent it to the Bihar government and the department.
BJP State President gave assurance on the memorandum of the Chairman
Therefore, Sultanganj city and station should be renamed as Ajagvinath Dham. The Municipal Chairman said that the BJP State President gave full assurance that the government has been formed. Initiatives have been intensified from Bihar Government to the Central Government regarding changing the name of Sultanganj. Keeping in view the demands of the people, the name of Sultanganj will be changed to Ajgavinath Dham very soon. In the memorandum given to the State President, it has been explained in detail that the historical city situated on the banks of the sacred North Vahini Ganga is the pilgrimage city of the ancient Baba Ajgavinath. There is movement of devotees here throughout the year. Especially in the world famous Shravani Fair, every day lakhs of devotees from all over India and abroad offer water to Baba Vaidyanath's city of Deoghar, Jharkhand.
Ajagvinath Dham has religious importance
Giving information, Municipal Chairman Rajkumar Guddu said that during the first program of the Prime Minister organized in Bhagalpur in the month of February, Sanjay Saraogi had reached the Ajgavinath Dham workers conference. After returning from here, he was made the Land Revenue Minister. This was the glory of Ajgavinath Dham. By inviting him to come again, he was politely requested to draw a historical line of development of Ajgavinath Dham Municipal Council.
