Digital Desk, Indore. In Indore's Bhagirathpura, contaminated drinking water has caused such wounds to many families that it is difficult to express in words. A six-month-old child born after ten years of wishes and prayers also became a victim of the negligence of the Municipal Corporation.

Who knew that water would become poison?

His mother used to feed six-month-old innocent Aavyan by mixing water in milk to make it easier to digest, but little did she know that the water coming from the tap would become poison for her son. Recently, Aavyan's health suddenly deteriorated. The family members were taking him to the hospital, but on December 31, he stopped breathing on the way.

serious questions on the system

This pain of Bhagirathpura is not of just one family. Aavyan's story raises questions on the entire system, where poison came from the taps and innocent people paid the price with their lives. Aavyan's father Sunil Sahu told with full heart that he already has a 10 year old daughter. In their desire to have a son, they made wishes, got treatment done and prayed.

The support of old age was snatched away

Sunil breaks down saying that when Aavyan was born six months ago, it felt as if God listened to us. Daughter got a brother, we got support in old age. But how did we know that the negligence of the corporation would wreak such havoc in our house. There is mourning in the house after the death of the son. The 10 year old daughter is in bad condition due to crying. She is asking the same question again and again – Papa, to whom will I tie Rakhi now?

State Cabinet Minister Kailash Vijayvargiya had reached Aavyan's parents with a check of Rs 2 lakh as assistance, but the family refused to accept the cheque. Sunil Sahu said that he had been complaining about contaminated water for a long time, but no one listened. Now the government is imposing the price of death. Our wounds cannot be healed by giving two lakh rupees. Sunil clearly said that this is not help but an attempt to trick his relatives. We cannot get our son back, but the truth is that this death was not due to nature but due to the negligence of the system.
