Digital Desk, Bhopal. Bhopal's Raja Bhoj Airport has achieved number one status for the second consecutive time in the National Customer Satisfaction Survey. Bhopal has topped in the survey conducted on 58 airports of the country. Khajuraho Airport, which has less air traffic in the state, has also got the first place. Gwalior airport has been ranked sixth and Jabalpur airport has been ranked seventh. Indore was not included in this survey. Bhopal is a category three airport, with a passenger traffic of more than 15 lakh.
Survey twice a year
The Airport Authority releases the CSI Index twice a year keeping in mind the service quality parameters set by the Airport Council. In the survey based on direct conversations with passengers between July and December 2025, Bhopal has got full marks on almost every parameter. For overall ranking, it has got 4.99 marks out of five. On this basis, Bhopal and Khajuraho have got number one status.
Recently, Digi Yatra facility as per international standards has been provided at Raja Bhoj Airport. Ground handling, check-in services and flight screen information services have been simplified. Recently 'I Help You' counter has been made. Flybrary and Category-2 ILS system has been installed, its effect is visible in the survey.
Easy to find connecting flights
The flight schedule of Raja Bhoj Airport is passenger friendly. It is easy to get domestic and foreign connecting flights from Bhopal to Delhi and Mumbai. On this point, travelers have given Bhopal a full five out of five.
Compared to last time, passengers have given full marks to Bhopal on most of the points including shopping facilities, money exchange and ground transport to the airport, 24-hour parking facility, less waiting time at check-in, efficiency of check-in staff, catering and shopping facilities in the security hold area.

The airport authority had set up a passenger assistance counter at the lounge only last year. Every passenger who comes to this counter is helped. CISF soldiers have also been trained. On this basis, travelers have given full marks to Bhopal. Bhopal Airport Director Ramji Awasthi and Khajuroho Airport Director Santosh Singh expressed happiness over the survey and said that passenger facilities should be improved.
