GDA Vice Chairman Nand Kishore Kalal has warned of strict action against those doing commission in the name of authority.
Shahnawaz Ali, Ghaziabad. Now strict action will be taken against those doing commission in the name of GDA (Ghaziabad Development Authority). Giving a clear warning, GDA Vice Chairman Nand Kishore Kalal said that those who illegally collect money from people by posing as officers or employees of the authority will not be spared at any cost.
A case will be registered against such people and they will be sent to jail. He released the mobile number of a notorious broker of Enforcement Zone-2 Modinagar-Muradnagar and ordered to register a case against him and send him to jail.
He said that they have also found names and numbers of many people in other enforcement zones who are doing commission by claiming to be officers and employees of the authority. He directed to take immediate action against such brokers. If any officer or employee does not take action despite having information about the brokers, then departmental action will also be taken against the concerned officers.
GDA Vice Chairman Nand Kishore Kalal said that they have received names and mobile numbers of many people from other enforcement zones who have no connection with the authority, yet they are misleading the common people by using the name of GDA. These people are extorting huge amounts of money by promising to get building plans passed, legalize illegal construction and other such services.
He directed the officers to identify such elements active in their respective areas, list them and take legal action against them with the help of the police. He also appealed to the general public to contact only the GDA office or authorized channels for any kind of work and not to fall prey to any alleged broker.
If anyone does this, he should inform it to GDA. This strict stance of GDA Vice Chairman has created panic among the brokers. It is believed that in the coming days, action may be seen against brokers at the authority level.
Notorious broker of Zone-2 active for two decades
It is said that the notorious broker whose number has been shared by the GDA Vice Chairman with instructions to send him to jail, is active in Modinagar-Muradnagar for the last two decades. It is said that the posting of officers in this zone is also done on his instructions. Recently a supervisor and a junior engineer were caught in a bribery case. The allegation was that this happened because they had ignored the same middleman.
