Big Decision Of Jharkhand Cabinet: Players Who Win Medals Will Get Pension, 27 Proposals Approved

State Bureau, Ranchi. The state cabinet headed by Chief Minister Hemant Soren on Thursday approved 27 proposals. Among the major decisions is the approval of the proposal related to giving pension to senior players. Apart from this, proposals related to restructuring of posts in state universities have also been approved.

Along with this, proposals related to implementing the court decisions have also been approved. Recently, in many cases, the proposals prepared in the light of the orders received from the court have also got approval from the Cabinet.

It may be noted that due to the code of conduct applicable in the state regarding civic elections, no briefing has been conducted regarding the decisions of the cabinet. The Cabinet has rejigged the decision to give pension to players who win medals in international and national competitions. Now players who win medals in every important sports competition at international and national level will get pension.

Rs 20000 pension to players who win medals in Olympics

According to the decision, the government will give a monthly pension of Rs 20 thousand to the players who win medals in Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna Award and Olympics.

Similarly, medal winners in World Cup, Asian Games, SAIF and National Games will get pension ranging from Rs 5,000 to Rs 16,000 respectively. National Games medal winners will get a minimum pension of Rs 5,000. More than two dozen proposals have been approved in the cabinet meeting in the Ministry Room located at Project Bhawan.

According to sources, two proposals from the Personnel Department were postponed. Among them, there was also a proposal for relaxation in age limit for the students appearing in the 14th JPSC examination. The Department of Personnel had proposed to consider August 2023 as the cut off date for age relaxation.

The Chief Minister said that this proposal should be postponed. The proposal was postponed due to disagreement at the top level on how many years relaxation should be given in the age limit. The cut off date of age limit for 11th to 13th JPSC exam was August 2017.

Students are demanding cut off date of August 2018 in 14th JPSC exam. In this situation, what should be the cut off date for the government will be reconsidered.

On the other hand, the services of C-DAC company, which provides assistance as a service provider in accounting and works management to the work departments like Drinking Water Sanitation Department, Water Resources and other departments, have been given extension.

Similarly, 2727 posts of Class III and IV employees of the Water Resources Department have been transferred to the personnel. The posts of teaching and non-teaching staff of Sido Kanhu, Kolhan and Vinoba Bhave Universities have been reorganized.
