On Wednesday, shares of Anil Ambani's Reliance Infrastructure Limited closed at Rs 133.38 on NSE with a fall of -4.50%. At the same time, shares of Reliance Power Limited fell by -4.74% and closed at Rs 33.93 on Tuesday.

The cases include an alleged fraud of ₹228 crore (about $25.4 million) by Reliance Home Finance on a complaint by Union Bank of India and another case of ₹57.47 crore against Reliance Commercial Finance on a complaint by Bank of Maharashtra, the CBI said.

In this case, a case has been registered against Anil Ambani's son Jai Jai Anmol Ambani. Its impact was clearly visible on two companies of Reliance Group on Wednesday. Reliance Home Finance and Reliance Commercial Finance were owned by Anil Ambani's Reliance Group till financial year 2023 and were then bought by Authm Investments and Infrastructure through a debt resolution process. According to a Reuters report, the banks had classified the loan accounts of these companies as fraud in 2024 and 2025, after which they had to file a complaint with the investigators.
