Bihar Board will be completely digitized in the new year 2026
Jagran correspondent, Patna. Bihar School Examination Board (Bihar Board) has gone far ahead of the boards of other states of the country in digitization. Bihar Board will be completely digitized from the new year i.e. January 1st. All the records of matriculation and intermediate from the year 1983 to 2025 have been saved in digital form by the examination committee. This has ensured security of documents as well as transparency and accountability.
ERP system made work faster
By implementing Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system in the examination committee, functions like academic, accounts-finance, human resources, legal, vigilance, grievance redressal and material management have been completely computerized. The digital and technological systems adopted by the examination committee are now recognized internationally.
The society has been awarded three ISO certificates for Records Management, Information Security and Quality Management. The committee has established a state-of-the-art data center with 200 terabyte capacity, which is being continuously expanded. Through this, students' records and various software of the board will remain safe.
Pre and post exam software is available
There are arrangements for online registration, online examination form, e-admit card and online fee collection before the examination. At the same time, the result processing after the examination is completely software based.
96 lakh students enrolled so far in OFSS
Till now, more than 96 lakh students have enrolled online in class 11th through OFSS, implemented from the year 2018. All this data is maintained securely by the examination committee.
Has also been honored with PM Award
It is noteworthy that Bihar Board Chairman Anand Kisher has been awarded the Prime Minister's Public Administration Excellence Award in the year 2022 for innovations in the examination system.
The board set a new record in 2025
Bihar School Examination Board set a new record in 2025. The committee received three international ISO certificates simultaneously. With this, Bihar Board has become the first state board in the country to achieve this feat.
Bihar Board has got this certificate for Quality Management System (ISO 9001:2015), for Information Security Management System (ISO-IEC 27001:2022) and for Records Management System (ISO 15489-1:2016). After this achievement, the examination board has become the first board in the country to get certification on all three simultaneously.
