Bihar Weather Update: Next 5 Days Are Heavy For Bihar, Meteorological Department Issued 'Cold Day' Alert

Jagran correspondent, Patna. The effect of Kankani with icy winds will continue in Bihar for the next five days. Most parts of the state will be in the grip of dense fog and cold days. According to Meteorological Center Patna, dense fog will remain in effect in all parts including Patna during the next 24 hours. A warning has been issued regarding cold day in 16 districts of the state. There will be effect of cold day in northern parts of Bihar.

On Saturday, cold day conditions prevailed in Patna including Purnia, Chhapra, Darbhanga, Araria, Madhepura, Vaishali, Saharsa, Arwal, Munger, Bhagalpur. Despite sunshine in Patna and surrounding areas, Kankani remained in effect. The state's lowest temperature of 4.2 degrees Celsius was recorded in Gayaji. Whereas, the minimum temperature of the capital was 8.5 degrees Celsius.

The maximum temperature in the capital was 17.6 degrees Celsius and Aurangabad recorded the highest maximum temperature with 23.3 degrees Celsius. The lowest minimum visibility of 40 meters was recorded at Valmiki Nagar West Champaran. The state's minimum temperature was recorded between 4.2 degrees Celsius to 10.8 degrees Celsius.

The minimum temperature at many places in the state is likely to increase by one to three degrees Celsius during the next 24 hours. During the last 24 hours, the maximum temperature at many places in the south-western parts of the state is expected to increase by two to four degrees Celsius.

On Saturday, minimum temperatures below seven degrees Celsius were recorded in Dehri, Aurangabad, Sheikhpura, Sabour, Nalanda of the state. The minimum temperature of Aurangabad was 4.2 degrees, Dehri 6.0 degrees, Sheikhpura 5.7 degrees, Sabour 6 degrees, Nalanda 5.2 degrees Celsius.
