Bihar Weather Update: Premature Arrival Of Summer In Bihar, Record Of 15 Years Broken In Patna; Increased Minimum Temperature

Jagran correspondent, Patna. A change has been observed in the February weather in the state. According to the data received from Meteorological Center, Patna, the minimum temperature of Patna has increased during the last 15 years. The minimum temperature of Patna in February remains around 12.0-14.0 degrees Celsius.

Ashish Kumar, center head and scientist of Meteorological Center, Patna, said that this time there are many reasons for the increase in temperature with the change in weather. This time, due to weak western disturbance, lack of rainfall and change in wind, the temperature has remained higher this time compared to previous years.

rapid rise in temperature

Due to strong sunlight and lack of clouds during the day, the temperature is increasing rapidly. Due to this, the days are feeling hotter and the nights are feeling a little warmer than normal. Changes in weather systems are also being seen due to climate change.

There is a difference of 12 degrees Celsius between the maximum and minimum temperatures of the capital Patna. On Tuesday, the minimum temperature of Patna was recorded at 13.1 degrees Celsius, which was the highest in the last 15 years.

Lowest minimum temperature in Rajgir (Nalanda)

Whereas Patna's maximum temperature was 25.6 degree Celsius and Kaimur recorded the highest maximum temperature with 29.4 degree Celsius. The lowest minimum temperature was recorded in Rajgir (Nalanda) with 8.5 degrees Celsius.

Meteorological Center Patna has also issued forecast regarding the weather of February and said that the maximum and minimum temperatures will be higher than normal. The minimum temperature is expected to be between 16-18 degrees Celsius. Whereas, the maximum temperature is likely to remain between 24-26 degrees Celsius. A difference of 10 degrees Celsius or more in day and night temperatures also affects health, agriculture and the environment.

Increase in temperature will reduce humidity

Agricultural scientist Dr. Rajesh Kumar said that with the change in weather, agriculture is also affected. During this period, the weather is considered favorable for Rabi crops like wheat, gram, lentils, mustard etc.

Too much fall or rise in temperature can cause harm. Due to increase in temperature, pests develop faster, which increases the risk of diseases on crops. Soil moisture decreases due to high temperatures. Due to which more irrigation is required.

However, there has been no significant increase in temperature. From time to time, farmers are being advised regarding protection of crops and better production. There are chances of rain in the season but this time its effect was not particularly seen. Rain is beneficial.
