A 20-year-old youth died in a tragic road accident late on Monday night in the Mufassil police station area adjacent to the city, while his two friends were seriously injured. The accident occurred during dense fog near Vastu Vihar Petrol Pump, where the speeding motorcycle collided with a truck parked on the roadside.
Three friends were on a motorcycle
According to the information received from the police, the deceased has been identified as Anurag Singh, son of Shailesh Singh, resident of Hem Nagar. Shailesh Singh is said to be a retired BSF soldier. The youth injured in the accident include Priyanshu Raj, son of Vipin Sharma, resident of Hem Nagar and Shyam Kumar Singh, son of Satyendra Kumar Singh. All three youths were friends among themselves.
Accident happened while going to hospital
It is said that at around 12 o'clock on Monday night, the three youths had left home on a motorcycle to go to the hospital for the treatment of an acquaintance. During this time there was dense fog on the way. Due to low visibility, his bike collided with a truck parked on the roadside near Vastu Vihar Petrol Pump.
Dial 112 police reached the information
After the accident, nearby people informed the police on dial 112 of Mofussil police station. The police team reached the spot and made arrangements to take the injured to Chhapra Sadar Hospital for immediate treatment. The injured were taken to the hospital at around four in the morning.
Youth dies during treatment
Anurag Singh died during treatment in Sadar Hospital. The treatment of Priyanshu Raj and Shyam Kumar Singh is continuing in the hospital. According to doctors, the condition of both is said to be stable.
Police of Mufassil police station started investigation
After the incident, there is chaos among the family members of the deceased. However, till the time of writing the news, the relatives were refraining from saying anything in this matter.
Mufassil police station took possession of the body and completed the post-mortem process and started investigating the entire matter. Police are investigating the accident keeping in mind dense fog, trucks parked on the road and other reasons.
