State Bureau, Lucknow. While the opposition parties are engaged in allegations and counter-allegations regarding the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) campaign of the voter list, the BJP, making it an important basis of its election strategy, has started special preparations on weak and difficult seats.
Be it the 2022 Assembly elections or the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, a separate plan has been made for the Assembly seats on which BJP was defeated. State President Bhupendra Singh Chaudhary, General Secretary Organization Dharampal Singh, Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya and Brajesh Pathak and all regional and district level officials have gathered in the field.
In the 2022 assembly elections, the NDA alliance had won 273 seats. There were 130 seats where he or his allies lost the elections. If we look at the Assembly wise results in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, BJP had to face defeat on 183 seats.
Making a special strategy, BJP has decided that MPs, MLAs, regional officials and responsible officials at the divisional level have been appointed for SIR on the lost seats.
General Secretary Organization Dharampal said that no genuine voter should be left out in the SIR and no fake name should remain in the list. SIR is our most effective tool in this direction.
BJP has increased the maximum focus on those seats where the party was defeated by a margin of less than two thousand. In such areas, special meetings are being organized at divisional and sector level. The party has given a target to the District Heads to the Panna Pramukhs to reach every eligible family by December 11 and get the forms filled and the errors should be rectified immediately.
Clear instructions have been given to the officials to increase monitoring at the booth level, provide active support in the registration of new voters and get the errors in the amendment forms corrected in time. The party believes that strengthening the weak seats in the upcoming elections will prove to be the biggest achievement of the SIR campaign.
The BJP leadership has asked the booth committees to be in constant touch with the BLOs, help voters in verification of necessary documents and run a campaign to get the names of new eligible voters added.
The party, which has the maximum number of 1.56 lakh BLAs, believes that this time any kind of mistake in the voter list can affect the future election equations, hence strengthening the booth management is the top priority.
This aggressive campaign of BJP shows that the party is considering voter list as the first and most important stage of election preparation. Due to the direct monitoring of the top leadership, this campaign has gained momentum till the bottom.
