Jagran correspondent, Yamunanagar. A minor dispute that started over kite flying in village Bhambouli of Thana Chappar area took a bloody turn. In which 35 year old Rajesh Kumar was stabbed to death with a sharp weapon. Police have registered a case of murder against the accused couple and their son and daughter. One accused has been detained.
Karmjit Singh, resident of village Bhambholi, told that on Saturday afternoon his father Dharampal was working in the fields. Then neighbor Ram Kumar alias Ramu's son Hilesh was flying a kite there. The string of Hilesh's kite got stuck in the electric wires. Due to which a spark arose. Father scolded Hilesh for this matter.
On which he started abusing. He called his mother Jaswinder Kaur. She also started abusing her father. On which the father called dial 112. Police and Sarpanch representative were called. At that time the matter was settled and the Panchayat was called the next day.
Despite the Panchayat calling to settle the dispute, Ram Kumar stood in the main street on Saturday night at around 10.30 pm and started abusing. Karmjeet's younger brother Rajesh Kumar tried to convince him. Said that when the Panchayat has been called the next day, then do not use abusive language here. Meanwhile the accused caught hold of him. The accused's wife Jaswinder Kaur, son Hilesh and daughter Mandeep Kaur came.
The accused together started beating Rajesh Kumar. Ram Kumar attacked Rajesh with a sharp weapon on his chest. As a result of which he was injured. When other family members gathered, the accused fled from there. Rajesh was taken to the hospital in an injured condition. Where he died during treatment.
Police station in-charge Vedpal told that the dispute between the two parties was settled but Ram Kumar came to the house at night. When he found out, he started abusing. Due to which the matter escalated. It was in this that the young man was murdered. One accused has been detained. Further investigation is being done.
