Bodra mine: People are putting their lives at stake due to lack of employment: Subhash
Samvad Sahayog, Jagran, Kulti: Regional Secretary of Janata Mazdoor Sangh working in BCCL Area 12, Subhash Singh, Union General Secretary, has held Damagodia management responsible for the accident that took place in Bodra mine on Wednesday. He said that the production in Damagodia Colliery and Dahibari Colliery of Bharat Coking Coal Limited of Area 12 area has been stopped for months, it is just a formality to start the colliery. Especially in Damagodia Colliery area there is a large reserve of high quality coking coal. The people in management from bottom to top are not concerned about how production is done. Earlier, due to the operation of the colliery, thousands of local people got employment in loading and unloading. Employment is all gone and people are forced to risk their lives to earn their living by extracting coal and selling it.
