Allegation of fraud by brick supplier in Manana Panchayat.
Jagran correspondent, Samalkha. A case of fraud by a brick supplier has come to light in Manana Panchayat of the block. After receiving the complaint, the Chief Executive Officer of the Zilla Parishad has summoned the Village Secretary along with the Panchayat in the matter on February 6 along with the records.
After investigation of the allegation, action will be taken against the culprits. Rakesh Kumar of Hathwala village, in a written complaint given in the Zilla Parishad office, alleged that Sarpanch's husband Praveen Kumar, in coordination with the officers and employees of the BDPO office, got the bills of bricks supplied by him to the Panchayat passed in the name of another firm. Demanded from him to get the bill passed.
In the complaint sent to the Chief Minister and the district administration, complainant Rakesh alleged that Manana Sarpanch Pati had ordered bricks for the Panchayat works in July 2025. He had supplied 60 thousand 500 bricks to the Panchayat from the kilns of Ganaur.
When he arrived with the bill, the Sarpanch husband demanded money from him for getting the bill passed. He was not paid for the bricks. By coordinating with the officers and employees, he got the MV filled in the name of another firm. Payment was also made to the said firm.
Sourcing goods for development works in Panchayat
Sarpanch's work is done. Whereas filling the MV is the job of the village secretary. It is their job to check the quality of the material. The payment is made by the Sarpanch and the Village Secretary to the concerned firm. They have nothing to do with it.
