Former IPS Amitabh Thakur's health is bad. Awakening
Jagran correspondent, Deoria. The health of former IPS Amitabh Thakur, detained in the district jail in the case of fraudulent purchase and sale of land, suddenly deteriorated on Saturday. He was immediately brought to Maharishi Devraha Baba Medical College, where he was admitted to the surgery department and is being treated. He has been having stomach pain for a week, which the doctors are calling appendicitis.
The former IPS is suffering from stomach pain since a week. In the jail, Dr. Rahul Tripathi of the jail hospital gave him necessary medicines on his complaint of stomach ache, which gave him some relief. On Saturday morning he suddenly started having severe pain in his stomach. His nervousness and restlessness increased.
The jail doctor was called and after first aid he advised to take him to Maharishi Devraha Baba Medical College. In such a situation, he was brought to the medical college in the jail ambulance and doctors in the surgery department examined him. Seeing his condition the doctor admitted him.

He has been admitted to bed number 50 in the surgery department on the first floor of the new OPD. The doctor has advised him to undergo ultrasound and blood test. Amitabh Thakur has demanded his safety in the medical college.
