Mysore Express bogie derails in Varanasi Cantt yard, operations unaffected.
Jagran correspondent, Varanasi. A bogie of Mysore Express derailed in the railway yard at Cantt station on Saturday morning. There is no information about any casualty in this incident. The employees of the mechanical department have started the work of bringing the derailed bogie back on track.
On information from Railway Control, Additional Divisional Railway Manager Brijesh Kumar Yadav and Station Director Arpit Gupta reached the spot and inspected the situation. As per the information received, the empty rake of Mysore - Varanasi Express was going towards the washing line for primary maintenance.
During shunting at 9.52 am, a bogie of the train, which was a power wagon cum SLRD, derailed on the loop line. Station Director Arpit Gupta said that this incident has no impact on the operational system of the Railways and the operation of trains is continuing smoothly.
After this incident, the railway administration took immediate action and took necessary steps to bring the bogie back on track. Using their expertise, the employees of the mechanical department started the work of bringing the derailed bogie back on track. During this, all necessary precautions were taken following the safety standards.
Additional Divisional Railway Manager Brijesh Kumar Yadav said that such incidents happen sometimes, but due to the promptness of the railway administration, the situation was quickly handled. He also said that safety of passengers is of paramount importance and Railways is continuously making efforts to prevent such incidents.
Station Director Arpit Gupta said that passengers did not face any inconvenience. After this incident, the Railway Administration has instructed all the concerned departments to be alert so that such incidents do not recur in future. The incident of bogie derailment of Mysore Express has once again highlighted the promptness and efficiency of the railway administration.
