Jagran correspondent, Baghpat. After Hindon river in Jhundpur village, now Rs 10.24 crore has been approved for the construction of bridge on Krishna river between Asara-Tikri. This will benefit thousands of people from a dozen villages in the area.
People were facing difficulty in commuting through the alternative bridge on Krishna river, hence he was continuously trying to construct the bridge. An alternative bridge was constructed on Krishna river between Asara village and Tikri, on which people used to cross the river risking their lives.
During the rainy season, the bridge used to get washed away due to excess water. The people of the area were continuously raising the demand for bridge construction. Chhaprauli MLA Ajay Kumar said that the absence of a bridge on the river was a big problem for the people and in view of this, he had several times placed the demand for construction of the bridge in front of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.
After efforts, Rs 10.24 crore has been approved from the government level for the construction of a bridge on the river. An approach road will also be built near the bridge towards Asara village on the river. Thousands of people of villages like Asara, Tikri, Sujati, Budhpur etc. will benefit from the construction of the bridge.

Chhaprauli MLA Ajay Kumar claimed that he was making continuous efforts to construct a bridge over the Hindon River in Jhundpur village. In the third session of the Assembly in 2024, he had raised the demand for construction of a bridge on Jhundpur river in Binauli block.
In response to which it was told that the approval for the construction of a long bridge on the Hindon River in place of a short bridge in Jhundpur of Chhaprauli assembly constituency of Baghpat district is dependent on financial resources. This information was given by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.
