Bulldozer used on illegal colonies in Sonipat. Awakening
Jagran correspondent, Gohana (Sonipat). In Sonipat, the administration on Thursday demolished illegal colonies being developed on 13.5 acres of land in the revenue estate of Mahmoodpur Road and Nagar village in Gohana.
According to District Town Planner (DTP) Ajmer Singh, this action was taken on the instructions of Deputy Commissioner Sushil Sarwan.
DTP Ajmer Singh said that during the action, an under-construction house, 25 DPCs, boundary walls of two plots, sewerage system structures and kutcha and pucca roads were demolished.
He said that construction of any kind of illegal colony will not be allowed in the district and in such cases, FIR will be lodged against the culprits.
DTP appealed to the people to avoid buying plots in illegal colonies. In such colonies, basic facilities like roads, water, sewerage and electricity are not provided by the government. Due to this, people's hard-earned money may be at risk.
Before purchasing a plot, please check whether the concerned colony is approved as per rules or not. On Thursday, the action was taken with the police force under the supervision of Duty Magistrate SDO Ashok Kumar.
