State Bureau, Patna. There is a plan to run buses on two new routes from the capital Patna to Kakolat and Rajgir. Regional Transport Authority, Patna has sent a recommendation to the Transport Department to notify these two new inter-regional routes. The department has sought suggestions and objections regarding these routes till December 26.
According to departmental information, there is a proposal to run buses from Patna to Kakolat via Fatuha, Danianwa, Nagarnausa, Chandi, Noorsarai, Biharsharif, Deepnagar, Nalanda, Silawa, Rajgir, Nardiganj, Hisua and Narhat. There is a proposal to run buses on Patna to Rajgir route via Danianwa, Hilsa, Ekangarsarai, Islampur, Nalanda, Siwan.
State Bureau, Patna. The Agriculture Department has invited applications for grants in dozens of schemes, the last date of which is December 24. Farmers who have not applied yet can apply on Wednesday and avail the benefits of these schemes.
These schemes include tissue culture banana area expansion scheme, strawberry development scheme, papaya development scheme, makhana development scheme, mushroom production scheme, fig development scheme, vegetable development scheme, flower development scheme, grant scheme on agricultural equipment, beekeeping scheme etc.
Through the agricultural road map, Bihar has registered a historic increase in the production of food grains. Under this, rice production has increased by 263 percent and productivity by 116 percent. At the same time, an increase of 123 percent in wheat production and 98 percent increase in productivity has been recorded.
There has been a record increase of 293 percent in maize production and 158 percent increase in productivity. Along with this, there has also been a revolution in the production of horticultural crops. Mushroom, whose production was negligible earlier, today Bihar has become one of the leading states in the country in its production.
