Hemant Srivastava, Lucknow. The work of preparing the Samarth Uttar Pradesh-Developed Uttar Pradesh-2047 vision document has now progressed a lot. Big goals for medium and long term are being included in the document. If these goals are achieved, UP will be seen at a big position in the country and abroad. Then by the year 2047, UP will become the leading state of the country in many fields. If the development graph moves forward rapidly, huge employment opportunities will be created in the state.
Through the document, the government will move forward with short-term goals (year 2029-30) as well as a bigger vision for the medium and long term (year 2030-2047). The medium and long term goals of balanced development include creation of climate tolerant UP, 20 percent greenery and increasing the national contribution of forest area to 3 percent. Along with making all major cities solar cities, the idea is to make UP a global leader in green hydrogen and renewable energy along with zero carbon emissions. In the social security and poor welfare sector, a blueprint has been drawn for the balanced development of backward Purvanchal and Bundelkhand and the aim of making the state a major supplier of human resources.
In the field of health and medicine, the aim is to provide leadership in the field of insurance, pharma and biotech research to all the citizens of the state as well as to make UP a global health center through medical tourism and innovation.
In the field of education and skill development, the state will be made a global center of education and skill development, where along with setting up world class innovation and research centres, the aim has been taken to bring the higher education institutions of the state to international fame. In the field of security and good governance, the target has been set to make UP a safe, investment friendly and balanced development state.
Under agricultural development, the target is being set to take the productivity of grains, fruits and vegetables to world class level, establish modern agricultural innovation and research centers and earn five times more value from agriculture. In livestock, targets like taking the state to world class level in egg and milk production and making fisheries and animal husbandry export-oriented are being set.
In the field of industrial development, the aim is to make the country a major export and investment center by making it a leader in high value industries like EV batteries and semiconductors. In the field of IT and electronics, the state has to be established as a global leader in AI, quantum computing, blockchain and also as a data center hub and IT export power. A target is also being set to make the state a world class technology corridor.
Will make UP the cultural capital of the world: Under tourism development, the aim is to establish UP as the cultural capital of the world and to give global recognition to its traditions and rich splendor. In the field of urban development, five international level smart cities are to be developed, which will be at par with global standards in terms of connectivity, standard of living and investment. Targets like ensuring 100 percent solid and liquid waste management in the entire state are also being set. Under infrastructure development, a target is being set to develop world class airports in every division.
