Jointly launched encroachment removal campaign. Awakening
Communication Associate, Pilkhuwa (Hapur). In Hapur, the municipality and police jointly conducted a campaign to remove encroachments on Gandhi Road and Highway on Tuesday. The objective of the campaign was to streamline the traffic system by removing encroachments on the road.
During this action, the goods kept outside the shops on the road and on the footpath were removed, while the goods being used in encroachment were also confiscated from some places.
For a long time, the goods spread on the road by shopkeepers on Gandhi Road had become a cause of trouble for the pedestrians and drivers. Similarly, due to street vendors, carts and temporary encampments along the highway, a traffic jam was being created. During the campaign, the municipality team removed the encroachment in the presence of police force, due to which there was chaos for some time.
Municipality Executive Officer Inderpal Singh said that any kind of encroachment on roads and public places will not be tolerated.
He said that strict warnings have been given to the encroachers and if the items are kept on the road again, legal action will be taken along with imposition of fine.
Officials said that the campaign will continue further, so that people can get permanent relief from encroachment and the traffic system of the city remains better.
