Samvad Sutra, Jagran, Ramala (Baghpat). A car went out of control and rammed into a truck parked in village Kandera on the under-construction Delhi-Dehradun Greenfield Highway. Two youths traveling in it died. Both were cousins. The accident occurred while returning home from a wedding ceremony in Shamli.
The fathers of both the youth are home guards. The highway has not been opened for traffic yet, yet people are risking their lives to walk on it. Had there been someone to stop them, the accident would not have happened.
Ramala police station in-charge Bachchu Singh said that a truck was parked in front of Kandera village on the under-construction highway. At around 8 pm on Sunday night, a Centro car coming from Shamli rammed into the truck from behind. The working employees informed the police about the accident. Police reached the spot. Two youths traveling in the car were found seriously injured. The police took both of them by car to Baraut CHC. Doctors declared both of them dead.
One youth has been identified as Siddharth son of Satendrapal, resident of village Kakaur and the other as Sagar son of Sunil resident of village Badarkha. The relatives were informed about the accident. Both were returning from a wedding ceremony in Shamli. Sagar's father Sunil is a home guard. According to the villagers, Sagar was the only son of his father. He has a sister. The relatives refused to conduct Sagar's post-mortem.

Siddharth was a final year LLB student. He has a brother and a sister. He got married three years ago. have a son. Siddharth's father Satendra is also a home guard, who is currently posted at Chhaprauli police station. The station in-charge says that the car was found badly damaged. From this it appears that the speed of the car must have been high.
Dangerous stunt with vehicles on the highway, video goes viral
Despite all the strictness, the stuntmen are not desisting from their antics. Dozens of youth created a ruckus on the Delhi-Saharanpur highway by performing dangerous stunts riding on Thar, Scorpio and other cars and tractors. It was fortunate that no major accident occurred. The police is investigating on the basis of the video.
A video went viral on internet media on Sunday. It is said to be near the highway located in village Katha. Some youths are seen performing stunts riding on various cars and tractors. Many of them are hanging on the windows of the cars, while others are sitting on the bumpers of tractors and making noise.

Some people say that the youth created a ruckus on the highway for about two and a half to three kilometers for about half an hour. During this time, many pedestrians were saved from being hit by the vehicles of the stuntmen. No one even bothered to stop them. People demand that action should be taken against those doing stunts. Let us tell you that this is not the first case. In the past, incidents of stunting have come to light at various places. At one place, the tractor broke into two parts while performing the stunt.
On the other hand, Kotwali in-charge Brijesh Kumar says that on the basis of the video circulated on the internet media, the youth will be identified and action will be taken.
