On Tuesday, Central GST Ranchi team in Medininagar created a stir in the entire business world by simultaneously raiding three locations of the district's renowned iron businessman Pramod Agarwal. The action started at 11 in the morning and continued till late at 8 in the night.
The team conducted a thorough investigation at Aghor Ashram Road, residence at Sudna, office at Nawahata and warehouse at Bisfoota. Many important documents, computer systems, account books and bill-vouchers were searched at all three places.

According to sources, preliminary investigation is revealing tax evasion worth crores of rupees. The team had received complaints related to tax irregularities, on the basis of which this action was taken. What irregularities were found by the team during the investigation could not be officially disclosed because the team returned to Ranchi late at night.
Although, no establishment was sealed during the raid, but after thorough scrutiny of the documents, the matter is said to be serious. The team's report will come out after investigation in Ranchi, after which further action will be decided.
