Jagran correspondent, Chandausi. A case of cheating of lakhs of rupees on the pretext of marriage and threatening to implicate in a false case has come to light in Baniyather area. On the complaint of Saddam Hussain, resident of village Gumthal, the police have registered a case against six people of the same family under various sections and started investigation.

According to the victim Saddam Hussain, about four years ago, Saddiq, resident of Mohalla Bajariya, Amla district Bareilly, had fixed the relationship of his daughter Farhana with him and was assured of getting married later. Meanwhile, on the request of Saddiq and his wife Ruksana, he gave a mobile phone to Farhana.

Told that the SIM in the phone was running on the victim's ID. It is alleged that through Farhana, the accused extorted approximately Rs 4 lakh from him. Apart from this, Farhana's brothers Nadeem, Wasim and Bablu also kept taking money from her from time to time. Saddam says that about 25 days ago, two lakh more rupees were taken from him in the name of the marriage of a girl named Ruby. After this, the accused party placed an additional demand of Rs 5 lakh in exchange for marrying Farhana.

When the victim expressed his inability, the accused threatened not to marry her, to stop talking to her and to send her to jail in a false rape case. According to the victim, a total of Rs 6 lakh has been cheated from him till now. Police station in-charge Manoj Kumar Verma said that a case has been registered against six accused in this case under various sections. Necessary legal action will be taken after investigation against everyone.
