Dead body of third tiger found in the forest
Digital Desk, New Delhi. There has been a stir after the dead body of a tiger aged two to two and a half years was found in Achanakmar Tiger Reserve (ATR) of Chhattisgarh. Trap camera had revealed pictures of a bloody fight between two tigers, in which both the tigers were seen seriously injured.
After this, the ATR team went into the forest in search of the injured tigers, where they found the body of the third tiger. The death of a tiger in this tiger reserve is being considered a serious matter.
The officials were shocked as soon as they got information about the incident. The carcass of a tiger was found under the Achanakmar range of Achanakmar Tiger Reserve, which was completely rotten. For this reason it was not clear when the death occurred.
The surprising thing is that the Tiger Reserve officials were not even aware of the incident. The dead tiger was found during searching on Sunday. Officials reached the spot and examined the body.
Tiger Reserve Deputy Director UR Ganesh: In the preliminary investigation, mutual conflict is being considered as the cause of death. The search for the injured tigers is ongoing as their treatment is necessary. The number of tigers in Achanakmar Tiger Reserve was already low, now it has come down to 17.
